Nigerians React To Lai Mohammed’s Claim That N3.5m Is Spent Monthly To Feed El-Zakzaky
Nigerians have reacted to the claim by Lai Mohammed that as much as N3.5 million is spent every month to feed Shi’ite leader, El-Zakzaky.
Lai Mohammed, Nigeria’s Information minister, recently
claimed that the government spends about N3.5 million monthly to feed Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, the Shi’ite leader who has been detained by government for over two years.
It will be recalled that Ibrahim El-Zakzaky has been detained since December 2015 after soldiers clamped down on his supporters killing at least 347 of them.
Following his claims on the amount of money used to feed El-Zakzaky, Lai Mohammed immediately began to trend on social media as Nigerians attacked him for “lying”.
Many Twitter users feel the minister is grossly exaggerating and should be cautioned to stop telling lies to Nigerians.
