Father Of Two Kids Who Were Found Dead Inside A Freezer Transferred To Lagos CID
The father of the two children who were found dead inside a freezer in their home, has been transferred to Lagos CID.
Mr Micheal Edeh, father of the two children and their dog who were found dead inside a freezer at Igbogbo-Baiyeku area of Ikorodu has been transferred to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, NAN rpeorts.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Chike Oti, told the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday that Edeh, who is now a suspect, was transferred to the CID for further interrogation to ascertain the real cause of the children’s death.
“I have confirmed the matter and the CP directed that the father should be transferred to the state CID to ascertain if there is an ulterior motive or whether it is an act of negligence,” Oti said.
NAN reports that the incident happened on Sunday, Nov. 11.
NAN also reports that the residence of Mr and Mrs Edeh was found under lock and key and the flat was empty and deserted.
One of the neighbours, who did not want his name mentioned, said: “it is only God that can determine the root cause of the death of the children.
“How can the children die in such a manner and their father was inside the house sleeping?
“I think it is beyond human imagination, the only thing that could be done is an autopsy to educate them on the real cause of the children’s death,” he said.
Another neighbour, Mr Kamoru Adewale, told NAN that “since the matter has been handed over to the police, everything would be done to unravel the mystery behind the death of the children.”
All efforts to get a community leader to react to the incident proved abortive.
