UCL: Mourinho reveals players that caused United 0-0 draw with Valencia

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has said his attacking players are not in the best individual form, which is why the team found it hard to create chances against Valencia.

United’s winless run stretched to four games, following their 0-0 draw with the LaLiga club in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Mourinho once again reshuffled his attack, with Romelu Lukaku flanked by Marcus Rashford and Alexis Sanchez, who was dropped for the 3-1 loss to West Ham on Saturday.

They all fired blanks at Old Trafford.
“I think there are things that are difficult for me to say.
“I think you have enough reasons to criticise me.

“Last season was phenomenal, finishing second and reaching the FA Cup final. I don’t say more than that.
“We raised our level and intensity despite the fact we don’t have the players who have that intensity.
“We knew that we wouldn’t create 20 chances.
“We knew that our attacking players aren’t in the best individual form and confidence.
“This wasn’t a bad result or a good result,” Mourinho told BT Sport.
On his defenders’ performance, the Portuguese said: “They tried, they raised the level of their intensity.
“We tried to play but in some crucial positions in the building up phase we don’t have players with the technical quality to play out from the back.”
