Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho has given his players an extra day off after their 3-2 win against Newcastle United over the weekend in the Premier League.

Mourinho’s tactical switch in the second half of the match helped the home side turn a 2-0 deficit, with midfielder, Juan Mata, forwards, Anthony Martial and Alexis Sanchez getting on the score-sheet as the game ended 3-2 in favour of United.

According to Metro UK, Mourinho gave his squad an extra day off as a reward for their comeback against Newcastle, and in a bid to rejuvenate the mood in the dressing room.

The report claimed that Mourinho’s men now have an 11-day break until they’re back in action due to the international break, but those not on duty are expected to report back to training on Tuesday.

United will take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge after the international break on October 20.

They will also battle Juventus, Manchester City and Everton
