Guinea Bissau Coach Collapses, Lands In Hospital After Winning AFCON Qualifying Match
Baciro Cande in his highest point of joy slumped and had to be rushed to the hospital for resuscitation.
There was pandemonium after Guinea Bissau coach, Baciro Cande collapsed after a shock 2-1 win against Zambia yesterday in the African Cup of Nations qualifying match.
It was gathered that the coach who didn’t expect the victory on their home turf – became emotional after the win before collapsing at the final whistle.
The coach was rushed to the hospital by medics at the stadium but is said to be in a stable condition.
The Zambian team who are now at the base of the Group K, will have to win their two remaining games to book a slot at the Cameroon AFCON games.
Meanwhile, Zambia coach Sven Vandenbroek admitted that the loss to Guinea-Bissau had put Zambiaâs chances of qualifying to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AfCON) into jeopardy.
