Why Mourinho is so real – Romelu Lukaku

Manchester United striker, Romelu Lukaku, has provided a strong defence for his manager, Jose Mourinho, insisting he’s unique in the Premier League.

Mourinho has been under criticism since the start of the new season as United lost two of their first three Premier League matches.

United entered the international break with a 2-0 win against Burnley but will face unbeaten Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday in another difficult test for the Red Devils.

After United’s 3-0 defeat to Tottenham, Mourinho demanded ‘respect’ from the press and Lukaku has echoed his calls, arguing that the ‘Special One’ deserves accolades for being ‘real’.

“People know a side from him which is – he’s a winner,” Lukaku told the BBC.

“But what I like about him is he’s not going to fake his emotions. When he’s mad, you know he is mad. When he’s happy, you see he is happy.

“I don’t understand why people don’t like the realness about him. When he’s mad at me I know he is mad at me, and I try to do what he wants so he is happy again.”
