Dele Momodu Caught Spreading Fake News, Tenders Apology
Ace journalist and founder of the Ovation International, Dele Momodu was one of those who gave oxygen to the false report that the EFCC had frozen the bank accounts belonging to the Adeleke family in Osun State.
On Friday, news emerged from social media platforms loyal to the main oopposition party – Peoples Democratic Party that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC had frozen the bank accounts of the PDP gubernatorial aspirant in Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, singer Davido and that of 5 other people.
The led to massive criticisms of the EFCC and the All Progressives Congress-led administration which was tagged ‘dictatorial’.
Dele Momodu, a journalist with almost three decades of experience corroborated the false report which the EFCC later debunked. The founder of the Boss Newspaper later humbly admitted that he was mislead by a source.
