Bother about Tottenham not United – Jose Mourinho tells journalists

Jose Mourinho has told the media to “start bothering” about Premier League rivals, Tottenham, instead of Manchester United.

After their win over United at Old Trafford last month, Tottenham have suffered back-to-back defeats to Watford and Liverpool.

Manchester United, in the other hand, have recorded victories over Burnley and Watford which has dampened speculations surrounding Mourinho’s future.

The Portuguese demanded “respect” from the media after he was criticised following the loss to Spurs.

Now, the United manager believes the press need to focus on Spurs’ poor run of form to ensure fair coverage.

“Tottenham have now lost two straight,” Mourinho told RedeTV after United’s win over Watford.

“If there is equality of treatment, if there is equality in the way of looking and reporting, they will leave us and will start bothering others.”
