Massive Crowds As APC, PDP Lock Horns In President Buhari’s Hometown (Photos)
The Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressive Congress have locked horns in President Muhammadu Buhari’s hometown during election rallies.
In what could be described as a test for the 2019 battle, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held rallies in Daura, hometown of President Muhammadu Buhari in Katsina state, on Thursday.
While the APC drummed support for Ahmad Babba-Kaita, its Katsina north senatorial candidate, the PDP wooed the crowd in favour of Kabir Babba-Kaita.
Coincidentally, the two candidates in the election scheduled for Saturday are brothers.
On the APC side were Acting President Yemi Osinbajo; Adams Oshiomole, national chairman of APC; Bello Masari, governor of Katsina state; and Abdullahi Ganduje, governor of Kano state.
Rabiu Kwankwaso, former governor of Kano; Sule Lamido, ex-governor of Jigawa; Ibrahim Shema, former governor of Katsina were on ground for PDP.
