BREAKING: Saraki declares for presidency

The President of the Senate , Dr . Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has just declared his intention to seek the office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria .This was contained in a tweet by his media aide , Olu W. Onemola @ OnemolaOlu :

Saraki arrived at the Sheraton Hotel , Abuja , where he said he would be meeting with young politicians and aspirants who are interested in running for public office in 2019 under the newly signed # NotTooYoungToRun Act .

Senate President Bukola Saraki formally declared his intention to contest the presidency on the platform of the People ’ s Democratic Party .

Saraki made this declaration on Thursday in Abuja during his meeting with the Not -Too – Young -Run Movement.

The Senate President , who recently defected from the All Progressives Congress to the PDP , will contest the PDP presidential ticket with a former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso ; an ex – Governor of Jigawma State, Sule Lamido and a former Governor of Sokoto State, Attahiru Bafarawa .
