Dino Melaye’s followers call him ‘Jack Bauer’ after kidnap-escape story

Followers of the senator representing Kogi West in the Senate , Dino Melaye, have expressed doubts about his claim that he escaped from those who “ kidnapped ” him on Wednesday evening.
The Kogi senator had been scheduled to appear in a high court to face a charge bordering on gun – running, but he was absent at Thursday ’ s proceeding .

His lawyer , Barrister Yemi Mohammed , who stood in for Mike Ozekhome ( SAN ) told the trial magistrate , Suleyman Abdalah , that he had it on good authority that Senator Melaye was attacked in Gwagwalada , Abuja, on Wednesday on his way home from the court .

Senator Melaye then took to his Twitter handle on Friday morning to narrate how he purportedly escaped from his “ abductors ” and trekked for 11 hours in the “ wilderness ” until he reached a safe haven .
