Chelsea tell Real Madrid how much to pay for Eden Hazard
Real Madrid will have to pay a huge amount to sign Eden Hazard away from Premier League giants, Chelsea this summer.
The Spanish giants are eyeing Hazard as a replacement for Ronaldo who, after nine years, has left the Santiago Bernabeu for Juventus in an £88million deal.
The Los Blancos have several names on their list to replace Ronaldo, but with Kylian Mbappe and Neymar looking set to stay at Paris Saints-Germain, Hazard looks the most attainable.
However, The Sun, UK, reports that the Blues have placed a huge price tag of £180million for the Belgium international.
The report claimed that Real Madrild will now have to shatter their transfer fee if they are to secure Hazard’s signature.
Hazard had recently spoken on a move from EPL to La Liga, saying: “After 6 wonderful years at Chelsea, it might be time to discover something different.
“Certainly after this World Cup. I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision – if they want to let me go.
“You know my preferred destination,” Hazard told reporters.
Meanwhile, Belgium head coach, Roberto Martinez has also urged Hazard to join Real Madrid this summer.
“It could be the best time [for Hazard] to try something different,” Martinez told reporters.
“Hazard could carry a new project anywhere in the world. He is at the best moment of his career. For me, it’s very easy to answer that question.
“He could fit in any team in the world. Players need new challenges and new projects. Perhaps it’s a good time for [Chelsea] and for Eden [to split]. I would be very surprised if Chelsea didn’t have big offers for him right now.”
