Barcelona defender, Gerard Pique has slammed forward, Cristiano Ronaldo after the Real Madrid star scored a hat-trick for Portugal against Spain in the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Ronaldo opened the scoring four minutes from the penalty spot.

Diego Costa levelled for Spain with a superb solo effort, but Ronaldo put his side back in front, as his shot was fumbled in by De Gea.

Costa equalized 10 minutes after the break and then Nacho fired the Spaniards in front for the first time in the game.

But with two minutes left on the clock, Ronaldo stepped up and spanked a free-kick into the top corner.

Pique, who was a former teammate with Ronaldo at Manchester United, said the 33-year-old has of the habit of throwing himself to the ground.

The defender, however, admitted Spain deserved to beat Portugal.

“We had more chances, they had three shots on goal, and scored three goals,” Pique was quoted as saying by the Independent after the match.

“Matches go a certain way and you have to face up to it. To see yourself in the first game of a World Cup go behind to a penalty after two minutes, you have to have a good feeling after how the game went. Ronaldo has a habit of throwing himself to the ground.”
