What Court Did To 5 Men Who Allegedly Stole Human Body Parts From Graveyard In Kwara

Some men who were apprehended by security operatives in possession of human parts which they reportedly exhumed from a grave were arraigned before a Magistrates Court in Ilorin.

Five persons accused of being in possession of human parts were on Tuesday, granted bail of N200,000 each at an Ilorin Magistrates’ Court.

The accused persons are Olarenwaju Adewoye, Oluwasegun Raphael, Oluwasegun Joseph, Fatoyinbo Augustine and Kunle Ajamu, all residents of Idofin Aiyekale in Oke-Ero Local Government Area of Kwara.

Chief Magistrate Bio Salihu, who presided over the matter, adjourned the case till July 3 for further mention.

The prosecutor, Isaac Yakub,said that the accused persons trespassed into a burial ground belonging to Oke-Ero Community and exhumed human skulls and bones.

Mr Yakub said that the accused were arraigned on a four-count charge of criminal conspiracy, criminal trespass into place of burial, mischief and unlawful possession of human parts, contrary to Sections 97, 213, 327 and 219 of Penal Code Law.
