Transfer news: Cristiano Ronaldo finally opens up to teammates about his future in Real Madrid

Portugal national team captain, Cristiano Ronaldo has informed several of his Real Madrid teammates that he intends to leave the club this Summer, after manager, Zinedine Zidane’s resignation.

The 33-year-old helped Real Madrid to a third successive Champions League triumph last week.

After the game, Ronaldo told reporters that “It was very nice to be in Madrid. In the next few days I will give an answer to the fans, who have always been by my side.”

However, Spanish news outlet, Marca reported that several of his teammates were already aware of Ronaldo’s desire to seek a fresh challenge ahead of the landmark victory in Kiev.

The Madrid-based outlet claimed that the club’s hierarchy remains angry with the Ballon d’Or holder, but is confident that he is likely to remain at the Bernabeu.

In any case, Zidane’s shocking decision to stand down after two-and-a-half trophy-laden years in Madrid means president Florentino Perez has a more important priority to focus on.

Meanwhile former England and Real Madrid manager, Fabrio Capello, has stated that Ronaldo has his heart set on a return to Manchester United and a reunion with Jose Mourinho.
