Taiga vowed that “the law must have its cause. Whoever that is involved the act must face the music.”

Taiga also called on the Delta State Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Mustafa to investigate the matter thoroughly and ensure justice was done.

Contacted, the Delta State Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Andrew Aniamaka said the allegations cannot be true.

He stated that, ” the police don’t kill human rights activists.”

DSP Aniamaka explained that, “We need them in our work. We are in the best of terms with the people.

“I will find out and get back to you. The police job is saving lives, protecting properties and ensuring that the rights of the people are maintained.”
