Arsenal legend, Dixon reveals Nigerian player that caused 2-0 loss to Croatia
Arsenal legend, Lee Dixon has identified Chelsea’s Victor Moses as the real cause of Nigeria’s 2-0 loss to Croatia in the World Cup Group D opener on Saturday.
He said Moses was too nonchalant despite the Super Eagles trailing by two goals.
Speaking in his post-match analysis, Dixon said, ”Roy said when we watched the game that it was like a friendly, it was like a practice match, they won’t get anything from this.
”Even in the end, Moses was kicking the ball out in the corner flag, he was 2-0 down. It was a bizarre performance for me, no effort or endeavor to try and get any point.”
Following the loss, the Super Eagles now hope to beat Iceland on Friday to stand a chance of making it out of the group.
