2019: SDP will displace APGA, APC, PDP, others in Anambra – Spokesman, Obiechina
The Social Democratic Party, SDP, Anambra State chapter, has vowed that it would come up with a shocker in all the elective positions in 2019.
SPD Publicity Secretary in the State, Lilian Obiechina said this in a statement made available to DAILY POST, where she boasted that the party having resolved all internal wranglings would displace all the other political parties in the State.
Before the coming on board of the SDP, the Anambra politics was dominated by the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Obiechina said in the statement that “at last, the division that has engulfed the party in the state for sometime now has become a thing of the past following the peaceful harmonisation of all interest groups in the state.
“The meeting which took place at the Party’s office in Awka on Monday, 18th June, 2018 saw all the factions coming under one roof to resolve whatever differences they might have had.
“The meeting which was presided over by Chief Ike Nwekwe, the Chairman of Our Party and his Deputy Dr. Webster Okonkwo also had Professor Segun Shogbesun, who played a reconciliatory role in attendance. The party faithfuls were admonished to sheath their differences and see a bigger picture.
“The condition for this brotherly harmonization will trickle down to the LGA and ward structures of the party in the state.
“With this peaceful harmonization, we can say without mincing words that our Party SDP is poised to win elections in Anambra state.
“We thank all members of our great party that played different roles at different levels to bring us to where we are today as a party.”
