Thomas Markle, the 73-year-old father of Meghan Markle, the royal bride to be, has indicated his interest to attend his daughter’s wedding to Prince Harry on Saturday.
Mr Markle had pulled out of the royal wedding on Tuesday saying he didn’t want to cause any further embarrassment to his daughter after it news emerged that he had staged paparazzi photos for personal gains.

The father of the actress has now backtracked today after his daughter begged him to change his mind and walk her down the aisle.

Markle informed TMZ that his daughter tried to reach out to him on Monday, but he wasn’t near his phone and that she later sent a text saying she loved him and was concerned about his health. He said he now wants to attend his daughter’s wedding to Prince Harry if doctors allow him to fly to England.

The former award-winning lighting director is in Mexico, suffered a heart attack days ago and had complained of severe chest pains. Mr Markle said: “I hate the idea of missing one of the greatest moments in history and walking my daughter down the aisle.

“Of course I’d walk her down the aisle. This is a historic moment. I’d like to be a part of history.”
