Governor of Kaduna, Nasir El-Rufai has cited some verses in the Quran to explain why he cursed Kaduna senators.
DAILY POST recalls that Governor Nasir el-Rufai sometime last week rained curses on three Senators representing Kaduna State at the National Assembly (NASS) on the rejection of the $350 million world bank loan for the state.

The governor who was speaking at the official handing over of party flags to the candidates of the party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) ahead of the local government elections into the 23 local government area at the Kaduna township stadium, described the senators as enemies of the state progress.

It would be recalled that the three senators from Kaduna state. namely Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi (Kaduna North), Shehu Sani (Kaduna Central) and Danjuma Laah (Kaduna South) were unanimous in their rejection of the loan for the state for various reasons advanced.

However, El-rufai took to Facebook on Friday to defend his statement.

He wrote “‘FRIDAY REMINDER: To the Cursed Kaduna Senators, the Enemies of the people of Kaduna State and their co-travelers – the Words of Allah: – Surah Al-Baqarah (2:9-12)

2:9 “They [think to] deceive Allah and those who believe, but they deceive not except themselves and perceive [it] not.

2:10 “In their hearts is disease (of doubt, hypocrisy, arrogance and disbelief), so Allah has increased their disease; and for them is a painful punishment because they [habitually] used to lie.

2:11 “And when it is said to them, “Do not cause corruption on the earth,” they say, “We are but reformers.

2:12 “Unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters, but they perceive (it) not.”
