The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Victor Oye has said the party was the last hope of the Igbo race in Nigerian politics.
Chief Oye, who spoke during a political forum organised by the party at Amawbia, Awka South local government area of Anambra State where he hails from, said the party represented everything the Igbo stood and was known for.

He said, “APGA is the only political party in Nigeria with a clean bill of health. It is the ultimate undertaker that will sink other political parties in Nigeria.”

The National chairman said that God was in control of the affairs of the party, and had been using its members as his instruments of operation.

He commended the Chairman of the Board of Trustee of the party, Governor Willie Obiano, saying he had done so much to reposition the party to enable it provide a level playing ground for all its contestants ahead of the 2019 general elections.

A member of the party, a European Union Consultant for the Anambra State Millennium Development Goals and Sustainable Development Goals, Chief Kenneth Aniemena, expressed delight at the internal democracy within the party.

He expressed optimism that activities leading to the general election, especially as it had to do with the election of the party’s flag bearers, would be done without rancour.
