Nollywood Actress, Nkoli Nwa Nsukka Speaks On S*xual Harassment In The Industry
Nollywood actress, Rachael Okonkwo popularly know as Nkoli Nwa Nsukka in an interview revealed how she has been able to handle s*xual harassment as an actress.
While most of her colleagues often lament about their s*xual harassment ordeals in the hand’s of film producers and directors. Rachael Okonkwo is of a different opinion.
Nkoli Nwa Nsukka claims that she has not really experienced s*xual harassment in the movie industry because God has always been taking care of her.
Speaking of her recent Award in Asaba Delta state on her contributions in the movie industry. Rechael thanked the organizers of the prestigious Miss
Nollywood Beauty Pageant/Nollywood Honour awards, that it is a privilege to stand before so many top actors and won award that this is just the beginning.
She later thank Barakumo Odede for the Award. According to her “I have not really encountered s*xual harassment. God has always been taking care of that for me. To God be all the glory. And again, I’m still the same old me, fame hasn’t deprived me of anything. I don’t allow my celebrity status get into my head,” she said.
The light-skinned script interpreter, who goes an extra mile to put smiles on the faces of children through her Easter Carnival, noted that all is set for this year’s edition slated to hold in her hometown in Enugu State.
“The carnival is a way of giving back to the society after all that God has done for me. It’s a big carnival where we have not less than 20,000 children in attendance.
It is happening at Government Field, Nsukka, and this year’s edition promises to be the best ever. Everything is going to be double double, as the popular saying goes’.
Rachael Okonkwo started acting in 2005 but due to lack of movie roles she switched career to dancing. She joined Nollywood in 2007 playing very minor roles. In 2008, she played a Supporting role to Ini Edo& Van Vicker in Royal War 2, also in 2010 alongside Patience Ozokwor and John Okafor in Open and Close 1&2.
