John Legend sends Kanye West texts for supporting Trump, Chrissy Teigen shades him
American rap star, Kanye West has remained defiant amid mounting backlash from fans over the rapper’s positive words about President Donald Trump , tweeting a picture of himself wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat and criticizing former President Barack Obama . … “Obama was in office for eight years and nothing in Chicago changed,” he tweeted on Wednesday.His recent move was to share screenshots of the text message he got from RnB singer, John Legend over his decision to support Trump. John Legend in his chat advised Kanye not to align himself with Donald Trump, and in response, Kanye accused him of trying to manipulate his free thoughts.
Kanye West’s tweets reads;
People usually don’t agree with people who don’t agree with them
I tweeted the John text to show that there are people around me that disagree with me and voice their opinion. I respect everyone’s opinion but I stand my ground.
if you feel something don’t let peer pressure manipulate you
I really appreciate this dialogue with John Legend because I’m actually very empathetic. Im still the kid from the telethon. I feel when people think of MAGA they don’t think of empathy.
This is year one. We can’t ad empathy to MAGA by hating. We can only ad empathy with love and time and truly hearing all sides John Legend new single on line now
Everyone keeps asking me to comment on shit. Comment on psycho Tami Lasagna, whom I refuse to give the joy to, say something about RHOA, speak up about kanye. When it comes to people we know, we DO speak up. To THEM. not on Twitter. And sometimes, I guess it makes it to Twitter.
“Thank you Kanye, very cool!” Trump tweeted on Wednesday, quoting West’s tweet. Trump also tweeted, “MAGA,” which stands for “Make America Great Again,” in response to a photo West tweeted of his Trump-signed hat.
