EPL: Wenger tells Arsenal what to do with current players, speaks on retirement
Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has said that the club will only need to add two or three players to the current squad when he leaves at the end of the season.
The 68-year-old has announced he would be stepping down at the end of the season after 22 years.
He revealed in his press conference on Wednesday that he would be taking some rest before returning to managerial work.
He said, “I want to say this team has quality, two years ago we finished second in the league, last year we made 75 points, won the FA cup, won the Charity Shield, and we were in the League Cup final we are in semi-final of Europa League.
“So these players have quality, hopefully we can show that again before end of the season.
“Convinced in the future with two or three additions this team can fight for the championship.
“Honestly, I don’t know what I will do. Will I take a little rest? I will continue to work, that’s for sure.”
