President Buhari Arrives Jos, Plateau State On An Official Working Visit
Security has been tightened up in most parts of Jos, Plateau state, as President Muhammadu Buhari touched down for two-day working visit to the north-central state.
According to Bashir Ahmaad, the presidential special adviser on new media, President Muhamamdu Buhari, has on Thursday, arrived Jos, Plateau State for a working visit.
“President Muhammadu Buhari will today, pay a working visit to Jos, Plateau State, during his visit he will commission some projects, unveil the Plateau Roadmap to Peace, a model 5-year Peace plan for the state and hold a town hall meeting with the community leaders,” he tweeted earlier this morning.

The Plateau state Commissioner for Information and Communication, Yakubu Dati had earlier in a statement said “the proverbial red carpet has been rolled out by an excited citizenry to receive him days before his expected day of arrival”.
The President who has arrived the state on a working visit, according to Dati, will inspect and commission some roads, which include Mararaba Jama’a expressway, Low-cost Miango-Rafiki road network, and the fly-over at the Secretariat junction. He will also inspect the Unguwar Rogo-Alikazaure bridge under construction.
The Commissioner said: “The Agric sector will witness a significant push as President Buhari launches 400 tractors purchased for distribution. The tractor ownership and Public Private Partnership (PPP) scheme is between the Plateau State Government and the Plateau All Farmers multipurpose cooperative society.
“The president is also expected to visit the Gbong Gwon Jos as well as hold a townhall meeting where the Peace building roadmap will be unveiled by Governor Simon Lalong at the Government House, Little Rayfield. Each of these physical infrastructural project is of utmost significance to the people because it impacts directly to their daily sojourns.”
