Veteran Actress, Rita Edochie Shares 1980 Throwback Picture
Veteran Nollywood actress, Rita Edochie who has spent about 21 years in the industry has uploaded a throwback photo which reeks of her humble beginning.
This picture of Rita Edochie is 38 years old and she has shared it on her Instagram page to appreciate God for journey in life.
She shared the picture of her lanky self probably as a school girl and merged it with her current photo. The collage of photos was captioned:
“Gdmorning my GREAT PEOPLE in the world. Rita was a girl 1980 . GOD i thank you so much for how far it’s been with me. . The journey continues IJMN”
The post has elicited interest comments from her thousands on followers on Instagram.
Rita Edochie started her acting career in 1997 and hails from Anambra State, Nigeria. The mother of four and also a grandmother is married to Tony Edochie. She is a graduate of Mass Communication.
She made her debut in the movie Waterloo and is best known for her motherly roles. She worked in Anambra state Broadcasting services as a presenter for over 15 years but currently she has concentrated in her acting career.
Rita Edochie has been married for more than 30 years to Tony Edochie, the younger brother to Pete Edochie. She is Pete Edochie’s sister in law and not his wife has some think.
In an interview with The Sun Newspaper, when reminded that some people think she is married to Pete Edochie, she said; “Of course, he is still my husband, according to Igbo tradition. Since he is an elder in my husband’s family, he is still my husband. But he is not the one doing the job (laughter)” of course Mr Tony is doing the job.
