Stop buying data to insult celebrities – Omotola Jalade tells Nigerians

Veteran Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has asked Nigerian to stop buying data to insult celebrities.

During her trip to Badagry in celebration of her 40th birthday, Omotola addressed the issue of youth buying data just to insult celebrities when they can do other things with their lives.


Omotola Jalade Ekeinde marked her 40th birthday in grand style with a five day party that had in attendance the likes of Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote, Gabriel Igbinedion, Shina Pellers and others.

Omotola’s 40th birthday celebration tagged #Omotola4point0 kicked off her with a party for widows and orphans in Lagos last Wednesday.

The actress told PREMIUM TIMES:

“I have always had a soft spot for widows and orphans for many years now because I can relate to their plight. My mum was a widow for 10 years before she passed on 16 years ago. I am also an orphan so I do what it feels like to be an orphan.

”My team have always showed love and encouraged widows who have strived to keep the home front in order despite the demise of their spouses.”

themed “Reciprocate, Respect, Mental Health And Avoiding Slavery In Marriage” followed on February 8.

There was also a ”Renaissance Trip To Trace The Beginning Of Slavery” on February 9, 2018 which was where Omotola told Nigerians to stop using their money to buy data they will use to insult celebrities.

This event was followed by a Symposium on “Mental Slavery And The Emancipation Of The Black Race” on Saturday.

The climax was on February 11 when Omotola Jalade Ekeinde celebrated her 40th birthday with a ball, themed “The Omosexy Ball.”

According to unconfirmed reports, Omotola made about N15million from her 40th birthday party.

It is reported that after her team counted the money that was sprayed on her, the figures realized was about N4.5 million.

During the couple retreat, the hall was filled to the brim. About 200 couples had registered with a fee of N40,000 and about 100 singles registering with N25, 000 each. From the couple retreat alone, it is speculated that Omotola realized N10.5million.

Adding the figures together, she made a sum of N15 million.
