Aseman Airlines Plane Crash In Iran, Leaves All 66 Passengers Dead!

Sixty-six people have been killed after a plane crashed in a mountainous area of Iran, it has been reported.

The Aseman Airlines flight was travelling from Tehran to the south-western city of Yasuj in Iran when it came down, according to reports.

A spokesman for Aseman Airlines has told state TV that the plane crash in southern Iran has killed all 66 people on board.



The ATR 72 plane is said to have come down in the Zagros mountains near the city of Semirom in Isfahan province.

It reportedly vanished from radar 20 minutes after take-off at approximately 5am local time.

Witnesses told local media the plane looked like it was trying to make an emergency landing before it crashed.

A rescue helicopter was unable to get to the crash site immediately because of dense fog hanging in the air.

Aseman Airlines is the third largest carrier in Iran and is based in the capital Tehran.
