The President of apex Igbo social-cultural group, Ohanaze Ndi-Igbo, Chief Nnia John Nwodo explodes over the current situation facing Yuletide celebration mainly in the Southern region of Nigeria, following fuel scarcity rocking the country.
The President said the current fuel scarcity is a deliberate attempt by the current administration to impoverish the Igbo people adding that the policies of President Buhari led administration does not favour sons and daughters of Igbo land.
speaking further in his Christmas messages, advised Ndi-Igbo to bring their wealth, investments back home, praying period provides a good opportunity for Ndigbo to pray more to God to send succor to alleviate their sufferings in the country.
In his words: “They know that at this period in the year Ndigbo travel a lot to their homeland, that’s when the government chose to close our airport, that’s when they allow fuel shortage to take place, this is very unfair and insensitive.
“It’s a deliberate policy of impoverishing our people to ensure that whatever wealth our sons and daughters bring home during Christmas is expended on the obvious effect of fuel shortage and none for investment.
“The proceeding events in the country especially as it relates to Ndigbo since this administration came to power underscores the imperatives for our people to think home with their wealth,” he added.
