Badoo, cult group kill four in Lagos
The popular ritual cult, Badoo, and another cult group, strike Thursday, killing four persons including a family of three in Ikorodu and Ojo Local Governments in Lagos State.
Both attacks occurred, barely seven days after Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, hinted that the introduction of community policing especially ‘Onya bo’, and the increase in police visibility had resulted in 35 per cent decline in crime within the state.
Vanguard gathered that Badoo strike in Ibeshe community, Ikorodu, killing a family of three including the father, mother and son, identified as The Aro family.
Aside the three family members, also injured by the cultist during the attack was a guest who has been admitted to an undisclosed hospital.
Vanguard further learned that the survival came to pay the family a visit with the intention of spending Christmas and New Year celebration with them.
It was gathered that Badoo struck at the early hours of Thursday when the family was already asleep, gaining entrance into the bungalow building and perpetrated the dastard act.
Vanguard gathered that the remains of the victims have been evacuated by Nigerian police and emergency officials immediately.
Meanwhile, the unknown cult group strike in PPL axis of Ojo local Government, killing a yet-to-be-identified man, whose body was mutilated by the group.
When Vanguard visited the community in Okokomaiko, residents disclosed that the body was found at junction where he was attacked and killed by the cult group.
A resident, Mrs. Adebisi Olapeju, told Vanguard that the attack occurred at the early hours on Thursday, as several gunshots were heard.
When our correspondent contacted the Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO), Chike Oti, promised to get back immediately. But at the time of filling this report, he was yet to respond.
