Again, death has silenced the cadence of the day with the quiet of the night. It has claimed the life of  Jide Tinubu. Yes,  Jide, who was hale and hearty, died suddenly on Wednesday. “He was not sick. As at last night, he was full of life. But we leave everything to God,” the source said to the cable.

However, were an outpouring of eulogies and tears potent enough to rouse a dead man, Jide would have reconsidered spending a few more days before plunging into his eternal sleep. Alas,  as family and friends converged at his parents’ house in Ikoyi, Lagos,  for a condolence visit, affirming, albeit sadly, the young and fun-loving dude who straddled the Lagos social milieu for years would never resurrect for a brief parting repartee. Very sad!

Though, a little is known about Jide, who is being confused in news reports with another Jide Tinubu, younger brother of Wale Tinubu, the CEO of Oando Plc. Wale’s brother is a maritime lawyer and promoter of TSL Limited.
