Kelly wrote his portion of the track the day he found out that Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington had died of suicide. “My original verses were a little too dark because of where my lyrics were stemming from, so I re-wrote and re-recorded my verses 13 times until we got the one we wanted,” said Kelly.
Bebe and X Ambassadors give me goosebumps when they start riffing back and forth at the end of the song; it feels like we all recorded it from the same emotional place. Home can be anything… A person, a dream, an escape — whatever it is, we all want a home.
