D.R.A.M.’s debut album, Big Baby D.R.A.M., arrives this Friday, and the Virginia rapper has been making the press rounds this week in New York City. On Tuesday, D.R.A.M. stopped by The Breakfast Club to discuss his upcoming project, his breakout single “Cha Cha,” and his adorable dog, Idnit.
D.R.A.M. also explained how Rick Rubin, who he says has become his mentor, introduced him to Lil Yachty. “In February, I was at Shangri La in Malibu for a week and a half, that’s where I met Yachty. [Rubin] had brought him out there while I was staying there on a little retreat,” D.R.A.M. remembers.
