For the first time in three years, Arsenal got to defeat Tottenham Hotspurs in Saturdays English Premiere League heated north London derby match up.

Arsenal bounce back from their last defeat to Manchester City to put two goals past hapless Tottenham at the Emirate on Saturday.

Arsenal’s first goal came on 36 minutes of the first half through Shkodran Mustafi.

Mesut Ozil lofts the ball in with a lazy swing of his left peg and Germany team-mate Mustafi climbs well, before sending a really superb header back across goal, beating Hugo Lloris and pinging in off the inside of the post.

Alexis Sanchez doubled Arsenal’s lead in the 41st minute of the first half after an assist from Alexandre Lacazette.

Lacazette this time, just onside. He fires a cross in at Sanchez, who has space in the middle. His touch looks a bad one at first but he has time to run around it and launch a shot into the roof of the net from just a few yards out.

Before the game, Arsenal had been without a win in last six Premier League games against Tottenham.

Both Harry Kane, who is just coming from injury and missed England’s last friendlies against Germany and Brazil and Dele Alli looked rusty as they were substituted in the match, showing that Pochettino was not satisfied with their performance.
