Video: Watch as the DPO of Old GRA Port Harcourt calmed panicked Parents over rumours that soldiers were injecting monkey pox virus into their kids
There was commotion this morning in various parts of Port Harcourt, Rivers state following rumours that the Nigerian Army was injecting students in schools with an unknown vaccine linked to Monkey Pox.
Parents immediately dashed to various schools to withdraw their children and wards, but were met with some resistance by teachers – especially at Port Harcourt primary school.
The Divisional Police officer of old GRA Port Harcourt had to calm parents by convincing them that all was well and there was nothing about. He later gave in to their demands by ensuring the school released the students. Watch the video below.
