Could this be in connection with his new report on Davido having a hand in Tango’s death ?

Something is not right. Police Service Commission has demoted two Acting Commissioners of Police to their rank of Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCP).

Those affected in the shocking exercise, according to official information, are the Acting Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Imohimi D. Edgal, and Aji Ali Janga.

What happened? Why was an unconfirmed Commissioner of Police hurriedly sent to Lagos?

PSC in an internal memo to the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, said it was withdrawing the anticipatory approval given for the elevation of Edgal and Janga.

According to the memo signed by the Permanent Secretary of the PSC, M. F. Istifanus, the two officers are to revert to their position of Deputy Commissioners of Police, DCP.

The memo, signed by Istifanus on behalf of the Chairman of the Commission, Mike Okiro, said the anticipatory approval given on August 22, 2017, was withdrawn at the plenary meeting of the PSC on September 26 and 27, 2017. No reason was given for the withdrawal of the promotion of the officers.

Recall that Edgal, a DCP, replaced Fatai Owoseni as Lagos CP to the surprise of many observers.
