Statik Selektah is easily one of the most underrated producers of the last 10 years and it’s crazy that he’s already on his eight studio album which is titled simply 8,“This is classic hip hop music, for lovers of hip hop music. No gimmicks,” said Statik of the second single. “Very excited for this record, which celebrates how amazing this culture is… and when I say culture I’m not talking that shit y’all hash-tagging lately.”.

The album is expected to release later this year but before that, Statik will be dropping a bunch of singles. After the 2 Chainz and Wiz Khalifa-assisted ‘Man of The Hour‘ in July, the Boston based producer is back with the follow up, ‘But You Don’t Hear Me Tho’ which features The LOX (Jadakiss, Sheek Louch, Styles P) and veteran Soul & Funk group MTume.
