IPOB/Army Clash: Don’t Provoke Ethnic Strife, NLC Warns FG, Army
The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Friday told the Federal Government and the Nigeria military to tread with caution in the efforts to quell the agitation for self determination in the South East.
This was as Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State said that he has put in place the necessary measures to ensure that there are no reprisal attacks as a result of the ongoing tension in some parts of the country.
Governor Masari who spoke to State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa, Abuja after the Friday jumaat prayer said, “As regards the tension in the country, we in Katsina state have put in necessary measures to ensure the safety of the people living in the state irrespective of where they come from and their properties.
“On the general note on what is going on in the country, I think there is need for Nigerians to be very responsible in terms of dealing with issues of this kind in this country.
