Between God and Spiritual Father, Somebody lied – Nigerian Young Lady Narrates

At age fourteen, I already had all the right curves in the right places. Full hips, fairly full busts, slender waist, I looked matured for my age.

It was easy for anyone who saw me at that time to assume I was already sexually active. However, I was nerdy and highly antisocial, the kind of girl who reads every printed volume of the “women’s mirror”, (yea! That Christian magazine) and believed in it hook, line and sinker (Now you can imagine what I thought about boys then…”the devil’s delivery men”).

Momma had a friend who believed so much in the prophecies of her spiritual father, a highly revered Bishop who manned (I prefer to use this word) one of the most popular Pentecostal churches in Kano. Momma had been adamant about attending this very popular church despite several pleas and persuasion by her dear friend to attend.

One not so busy day, popular church was to hold a highly prophetic service and after much persuasion by friend, momma agreed to attend, and I stood in awe of spiritual father and was so elated that I would finally get to see the highly revered Bishop.

We attended, prophecies were dished out, and people fell under a kind of anointing, people spoke in different tongues (some of which were botanical names). Service was over, momma made to leave, but was again persuaded by dear friend to see spiritual father.

After a long wait in the queue, his assistant motioned us over to his side. While we moved, I noticed spiritual Father’s eyes resting on me… and I said to myself… “God has shown him my future”

We sat down, and he gave me a very long stare….. this were his exact words “I see pregnancy, if you do not stop what you are doing and cut off from that man, you will get pregnant and your life will be full of misery” see gbese!!!

Spiritual father wasn’t so spiritual after all…just like every other person, he said what he assumed…i was highly disappointed especially when he implied I was lying when I didn’t corroborate his story.

Every one there except momma, believed spiritual father, but Momma and I knew that between God and Spiritual Father…SOMEONE LIED!!!!!!!
