Pilot Dies As NAF Aircraft Crashes In Kaduna (Photos)

The incident happened at about 4:25pm at the Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA) permanent site Afaka, along Kaduna International Airport road.

A statement issued by NAF’s director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Olatokunbo Adesanya, reads:

“A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Air Beetle Aircraft today crashed in Kaduna while on a mission.

The only soul on board the aircraft, one of the NAF’s experienced instructor pilots, was unfortunately lost during the mishap”.

He said while the cause of the incident was still unknown, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, immediately directed the constitution of a board of inquiry to determine the immediate and remote cause of the crash.
