Photos Of Airforce Officers And State Tax Force Members Fighting On The Street Of Cross River
Nigeria Air Force Officials, Tuesday, clashed with Tax Force members in Calabar, Cross River State capital. The clash according to investigations was not unconnected with wrong parking of a Taxi-cab allegedly owned by Air Force Officer but driven the driver using the said vehicle for commercial purpose. It was gathered that the taxi cab driver parked the vehicle where it was not allowed by the tax force officials, and they threatened to tow the vehicle. The driver, however, puts a call across to the owner who is an Air Force personnel and he appeared in a very short time.
In the argument that ensued, one of the touts pushed the Air Force man and pandemonium ensued as some officers of the Nigerian Air Force beat up the tax force men severely.
The tax force team according to an eyewitness put up a fight and threaten to arrest the Air Force man when he tried to investigate the incident involving his car when “One of the tax force men pushed the air force man and said he was going to call the police for him.”
He said that development infuriated the Air Force man who demanded to know the person who pushed him, “They must provide the man that pushed me, else they are not going to work in this town, and even their Governor cannot stop that,” The Air force man reportedly said.
The Air force man on a camouflage T-shirt was ranting when he called his fellow Air Force men on the phone. Before the intervention of his colleagues, the Homeland Security men arrived the scene, clamped on the tax force men, but the man who started the fray was nowhere to be found.
Our correspondent further noticed that the Homeland security personnel drove away with one of the Street Driving tax force man before a group of Air Force men started blistering others as some of them have to undress their uniform to stay in disguise. The fight didn’t end there as the officers chased after the leader of the tax force group, cluttering on him like a punching bag.
But when we visited the police headquarters to ascertain if the matter had been reported, it was gathered that no such incident was reported.
