Fast-rising gospel artiste, Iseoluwa Abidemi, has said that faithfulness to God and dedication to academics have been the secret of her success in music so far.

The talented 12-year-old, who recently released a new single and video titled ‘Iseoluwa’, revealed that beyond what fans actually know of her, she spends a lot of time daily communicating with God and studying her books.

Speaking with Saturday Beats recently, the singer said, “I decided to go fully into gospel music to appreciate God for all He has done for me and prove to the world that shining lights can indeed emerge from this generation.

“Children in our society are being served too many immoral and worldly songs these days. This has really corrupted their minds. It shouldn’t be that way because at such age, it is the fear and love of God that they should be exposed to.

“I am working very hard every day to come up with songs that will tell young people about the loving-kindness of God and draw them closer to Him. Through the help of my parents, I am able to maintain a strong relationship with God and also excel well in my academics without it affecting my music.”

While revealing plans to collaborate with prominent gospel acts in upcoming works later in the year, manager to the young artiste, Frank Uke, said her new sound will change the industry for good.

He said, “Iseoluwa’s hard work and focus so far has been a very encouraging factor. She wants to use her music to propagate the wonderful works of God in a way that even little children would understand. With her unique style and sound, the industry would not remain the same again.”
