United States’ first black President , Barack Obama, is still making history even after serving as the President of the most powerful country in the world.
While President Trump chose to be silent over Saturday racial killing in Charlottesville, American State of Virginia, ex-President Obama’s tweet condemning the attack has garnered 2.4 million likes and still counting.
He wrote: “No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion…” This tweet alone gathered 39,000 responses, 1.0 million retweets, and 2.4 million likes, making it the third most-liked tweet in history, according to Esquire magazine.
He then did two quick follow-ups, with one of them quoting late ex-South African President Nelson Mandela, who had said, “…For love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”
