Gang Leader Kidnaps 10 Victims To Raise myoney For His Father’s Funeral

The Anambra State Police Command, has arrested a 31-year-old man, Chibuike Okoroafor, who reportedly kidnapped 10 people in Imo and Anambra States, to raise money for the funeral of his late father and uncle.

Chibuike’s first abductees were 30-year-old Chigozie Ekwegbara and his two sisters, who were in Anambra State, whisked away in Chigozie’s Toyota Highlander SUV, and held for five days in Imo State, until their family paid a ransom of N2 million, was arrested alongside two other members of the gang, namely, Azubuike Nwachukwu, 41, and Ikechukwu Emeka Chima, 30, on August 10 in Imo state.

SARS Commander, Supol Sunday Ikpe , who spoke to newsmen said his team is still trying to recover the SUV, which the gang sold in Aba to a car snatching syndicate.

Here’s what Chibuike told Sunday Sun:

“I have kidnapped over 10 victims and used the ransom collected, to bury my late father.

We initially demanded N10m because I needed the money to also bury my uncle in Abia state.” Okoroafor who hails from Imo State, further revealed that he was wearing Chigozie’s gold chain when he was arrested.
