Danielle Bregoli Has Been Sentenced To Five Years Probation At 14 Years Old
14-year-old Danielle Bregoli of the “Cash me Ousside” fame has been sentenced to five years of probation after pleading guilty to multiple charges including grand theft. The 14-year-old was lucky to avoid jail time.
She was sentenced on Tuesday in Delray Beach, Florida, after pleading guilty in late June to grand theft, grand theft auto, marijuana possession and filing a false police report. Bregoli committed the crimes before she shot to fame.
She catapulted to fame last year September after she made an appearance on Dr. Phil’s show with her mother. In an episode that dealt with parents and their unruly teens, Danielle’s mother Barbara Ann had brought the teenager on the show to complain about how her child, then 13, was giving her troubles and would run away four times in one day, and steal her credit cards.
As her mother complained about her, Dr. Phil’s audience found it funny and Danielle got angry that the “whores” were laughing at her. She threatened the audience members, saying: “Catch me outside, how about that?” but her peculiar accent made it sound like “Cash me ousside, how bow dah?”
The phrase stuck since then and made Danielle popular to the extent that she began to charge to make guest appearances at events, in music videos, and also for fan meet and greet. Since shooting to stardom, Danielle moved to Hollywood with her mother and is reportedly shooting a reality television show.
The charges against Danielle stemmed from three separate incidents last year after Danielle stole her mother’s purse, her mother’s car and called the police to falsely report that her mother had been using heroin. In May 2016, a false police report was filed when the teen called to report a domestic battery involving her mother. But when police arrived, Danielle accused her mother of using drugs and pointed to powdered sugar scattered on a bathroom counter that she claimed was heroin. She later admitted that the report was false. The state attorney’s office also said Danielle was found in a car with marijuana this year.
After she was sentenced, the state recommended Danielle stay in Palm Beach County, but she is allowed to complete probation in California, where she now lives with her mom Barbara Bregoli.
Danielle’s father, Ira Peskowitz, attended his daughter’s sentencing on Tuesday and expressed his fears for his daughter’s future. He said his daughter is being exploited by adults who want to leverage her newfound fame. He was also in court when she pleaded guilty in June where he tearfully told reporters:
“My daughter is being exploited. She posts 24-7. It’s controlled by an alleged management team that promotes absurd behavior for a 14-year-old child.”
He added that she is being groomed for a career in pornography by adults looking to capitalize on her newfound fame. Peskowitz, who works for the Palm Beach County Sheriffs Office, claims his parental rights are being stripped away.
He told NBC: “I am the only parent in this relationship with Danielle that is trying to see the best thing for this child.”
