Country Music Legend, Glen Campbell Dies At 81 After Battle With Alzheimer’s Disease

Glen Campbell , the country crooner and guitarist has died. He died at the age of 81 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

His family said: “It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and legendary singer and guitarist, Glen Travis Campbell, at the age of 81, following his long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Glen Campbell Memorial Fund at BrightFocus Foundation through the CareLiving.org donation page.” Glen Campbell was a self taught prodigy who rose from a poor background to release over 70 albums and sell 45 million records. He was credited with paving the way for other country crossover artist like Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers .
