Wagner Tells Wells He Can Leave Terriers
Nahki Wells has been told by Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner that he can go.
Wagner says Wells’ first-team opportunities will be limited after he splashed out a total of £15million on strikers Steve Mounie and Laurent Depoitre.
The Bermuda striker, who was the Terriers’ record £1.3million signing from Bradford in 2014, is in the final year of his contract at the John Smith’s Stadium and has attracted interest from Reading.
Wagner said: “Everybody can see the high quality of the strikers we’ve brought in.
“There is Mounié, Depoitre and we still have Elias Kachunga and Collin Quaner, who are able to play there.
“This isn’t the best situation for Nahki and, of course, he’s the name who is in the market so we will listen if there is serious interest in him.”
