I Am Not Acting For Money – Oge Okoye
Actress, Oge Okoye , who was accused of stealing dog photos few days ago has declared she is not acting for money but for passion.
Oge told Punch on why she doesn’t appear in many movies. She said, “I am very particular about the type of movies I appear in. If it doesn’t have a good script, or if it is not being handled by professionals, I wouldn’t be part of it. I am not in the industry for money, but for the passion and love I have for the arts. Appearing in sub-standard movies has a negative effect on one’s career as the audience would always see you in the light of that movie for a long time. And they wouldn’t respect you.”
She also addressed reports that she is a snub. She said, “That is not true. When people don’t understand you, they would label you as being snobbish. I just like to mind my business and I don’t go to where I’m not invited. I don’t know whether that is what is meant by being snobbish. When it comes to making friends, I am very choosy as I tend to keep my friends very close and I can do anything for them.”
