US President Elect Donald Trump Says He’ll Collect $1 for Salary Instead of $400k
The United States President-elect, Donald Trump has promised to forgo his salary as President. Trump vowed to forgo the $400,000 salary that comes with being the US President, stressing that he will only take $1 as stipulated by law.
According to Trump,
“I’m not going to take the salary. I’m not taking it. “I think I have to by law take $1, so I’ll take $1 a year.”
Trump had last week emerged the winner of the fiercely contested US Presidential election against all odds and predictions that were against him.
