A middle-aged man, Friday, committed suicide in Satellite Town, Oriade Local Council Development Authority, Lagos over what sources described as family problems.
The Delta State indigene, who was simply identified as Awore was found dead in his office located at No 393 Old Ojo road, Satellite town, Lagos by his secretary upon reporting for work yesterday morning.
A visit by Edujandon.com to the scene revealed that the deceased processed admission for students, who intend to study in Ghana.
It was learnt that the secretary alerted neighbours, who in turn alerted the police and the deceased family. The incident attracted human and vehicular traffic at the scene.
When Edujandon.com spoke with the Secretary she narrated her story saying; I forgot my touch light last night after work and my boss called me to come and pick it up, so I turned back and headed for the office, on getting there he put the touch inside my bag and said I should go and not come back, that was strange but I didn’t give it much thinking, only for me to get to work this morning and discover his dead body; she said crying
Those, who spoke to Saturday Edujandon.com on condition of anonymity, said they suspected that the deceased’s action might have been influenced by repeated quarrels he had with his wife and children.
It was further learnt that the deceased who resided at Shell Estate in Satellite Town, was always sleeping at his office where he died as a result of the pressure he faced at home.
The corpse was later taken away by Police from Agboju Police Station.
